There are several reasons for hair loss. The following are some types of hair loss generally occur in children and adults.
Tinea Capitis: It is a fungal infection of the scalp. It causes itching and mainly occurs in children. It infects easily through scalp injuries. Dermatophytes cause Tinea Capitis and it is contagious and spread from one to another by contact, wearing same clothes, combs, caps etc.
Alopecia Areata: in this type of hair loss complete baldness occurs. The reason for this infection is unknown. It occurs mostly in child and causes round baldness. It occurs due to deficiency of hormones and low immune system.
Telogen Effluvium: It occurs to both child and adults. It occurs mostly due to depression, stress and anxiety. In this infection, hair growth cycle takes rest. It is not like genetic hair loss. 0 to 20 percent of hairs are in resting phase in the initial stage of disease, but that number increases to more. In later stages almost 75 percent of hairs stays in resting phase. Telogen Effluvium infected people get lumps of hair loss at a time.
Traction Alopecia: This hair loss occurs mostly in children and females. Because hair loss in this type occurs due to tight braided hair and, tightly tied hair. Mental tension is also one of the reasons for this disease. In this case hair damages a lot and leaves uneven and damaged hair. Twisting and pulling are the main reasons for this type of hair loss. It takes almost one year for re growth of hair at the infected area. Use Amla, Naleeni, bhringaraj and shekakai for hair to avoid hair loss.
